DESTINATION
Kerikeri is a dynamic community that, just a few years ago, earned the title of Best Small Township in New Zealand.
Growth of the community has been described as ‘staggering’. Far North District Council predicts that population in its eastern quadrant will increase by 12,500 persons – two thirds of whom will be in the Kerikeri area. Building consents in 2004 were worth $71m, up 40% on the previous year. More than 1,000 new lots have been created in the township during the past three years.
