Heleen du Plessis is originally from South Africa and as a soloist has appeared with orchestras in South Africa, the USA and New Zealand. She is at present William Evans Executant Lecturer of Cello at Otago University.

Terence Dennis has been the official pianist of seven international string competitions, official pianist for the finals of the Mobil and now Lexus NZ Song Quest since 1991, and as guest adjudicator of the regional finals of the USA Metropolitan Opera Auditions competition. Also this March Terence is to partner Dame Kiri Te Kanawa at Frogmore House, Windsor, for a special recital hosted by members of the Royal family. Terence is also a trustee of the Dame Kiri Te Kanawa International Foundation and is at present Professor at Otago University.
